Gold is going up... but why....?

Gold price is going up......but why not stocks?
currently, I have stocks for Kinross and Yamana gold. Funny thing is both of them are not performing that well compared to Goldcorp or Barrick gold.
The reason I bought this was more because the price was cheap, and I believed that the gold trend will definately lead to the positive future for these two stocks.

However, that was not true.

And I believe alot of people might have the same questioning on this issue,
